Mar 16, 2008, Dinner Parties that Start in the Kitchen

Dinner parties that start in the kitchen mean you don't have to worry any more about whether you should let guests help.

The Canadian Press reports (March 13, 2008) that there is a new trend in dinner parties. It’s a trend to entertaining in the kitchen.

It’s not surprising when you think that people are building kitchens that have restaurant quality appliances. For example, stoves have non-stick griddles, microwave ovens have melt features so you can melt those sauces quickly and conveniently. Refrigerators have special chill quickly features so wine can be brought to the right temperature at the push of a button.

Add a big center island with plenty of room for guests to sit and sip wine and chat with the host and hostess, and the stage is set for a dinner party that starts with everyone in the kitchen.

But what if your kitchen renovation ship hasn't come in yet? Don't worry, there are still ways to let your guests help with your dinner party. Read on to see how.
